Choosing a wide format printer & plotter

Great post.

To add to this, if you are considering a large format printer and need some samples to help you choose you can request some at Sample Print Large Format Printers Samples.

The site currently concentrates on the UK market and the Canon product range. It also has a "help me choose" feature, that might be of use.

Thanks for the information. Can you also please tell if HP 510 is good for bulk printing?

@HP Designjet 510, HP Designjet 510 is definitely not suitable for bulk printing.

For bulk printing application, My recommendation would be as below:

1. Canon iPF810 or HP Designjet 4020
2. Canon iPF710 or HP Designjet T1120

Line Drawing Print Speed Comparison:
Canon iPF710(34secs/A1)
Canon iPF810 (27secs/A1)
HP DJ510(55secs/A1)
HP DJ T1120(35secs/A1)
HP DJ 4020 (25secs/A1)

Ink Cartridges Volume Comparison:
Canon iPF710(130ml-CMYK)
Canon iPF810 (330ml/700ml-CMYK)
HP DJ510(69ml- CMYK)
HP DJ T1120(69ml/130ml-CMYK)
HP DJ 4020 (400ml/775ml-Black, 225ml/400ml-CMY)

* The ink cartridges size is telling us if the printer is meant for bulk printing.
